Farm Description: Raccoon Forks Farms offers employment opportunities to people with disabilities by utilizing sustainable farming practices. This provides people with a chance to better their lives and as an added benefit we produce fresh, chemical free, and locally grown produce for you. Raccoon Forks Farm has two farm locations: an eight-acre farm located in rural Dallas County, just outside of Redfield, IA, and a small acreage in Polk County, just outside of Runnells, IA.

Share Description: You can expect a variety of vegetables in your box depending on the time of season. Many types of vegetables including spinach, onions, broccoli, cucumbers, salad greens, and eggplant. Fresh herbs like garlic, cilantro, and basil. Staples like green beans, carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, and potatoes. A variety of more unusual vegetables like okra, Swiss chard, parsnips, kohlrabi, and leeks.
Farm Practices: We utilize sustainable farming practices to provide locally-grown, chemical-free produce. From our happy, pastured chickens come our rich tasting, brown eggs. Our broilers and turkeys are also on pasture to provide the best tasting meat available. We believe sunshine, grass beneath their feet, and the ability to root for tasty insects keep our poultry happy and healthy. To ensure proper nutrition they are also fed an all-natural, vegetarian supplemental diet.
