As warmer weather continues to appear in Des Moines, farmers markets will begin to pop-up throughout our community as well. This year there are 25 weekly local markets throughout the Greater Des Moines area and surrounding communities. A handful of markets have already begun their season, while the rest will continue to follow suit as summer approaches. You can expect access to your local farmer’s produce through the end of October for multiple markets. Let’s take this season as an opportunity to support the local farmers within our community as a way to strengthen our local food system!
